Our Charter

Who we are We are a community of practitioners from around the world, who develop, deploy, and operate GenAIoT (Generative Artificial Intelligence of Things) systems, devices, networks, and applications. Our primary focus is on the open and secure by design adoption and application of GenAIoT in commercial environments. We aim to understand and overcome barriers, inhibitors, and technical and operational issues related to GenAIoT, so that companies and their customers can benefit from it. Our interests include smart cities, software engineering, worker safety, retrieval augmented generation, intelligent manufacturing, connected cars, eliminating polarization, intelligent transport, industrial applications, overcoming bias, connected homes, consumer electronics, reducing carbon emissions, and healthcare, to name a few. We focus on sharing best practices and experiences to educate and enable others to apply these practices.

What is our scope and Areas of Interest We are open to working on other issues and opportunities that affect GenAIoT adoption. We engage in vibrant discussions and share information and insights among community members through our GenAIoT LinkedIn Group Community, and feeding back into the existing IoT Community channels. We create and maintain an information reference source accessible to everyone, with a focus on examples of successful best practices and case studies (GenAIoT.net). We organize virtual and in-person events providing forums to share viewpoints and to learn from the best minds in the industry (GenAIoT Slam). We identify issues and work collaboratively to find effective solutions among our members and with standards groups, industry forums, development communities, suppliers, or other organizations. We regularly survey and solicit advice from our GenAIoT Community members to best serve their interests and priorities.

What we plan to do and How are we different We focus on the adoption and application of GenAIoT in commercial environments. We use the social networking environment to solicit and share best practices, information, and insights. We aim to work collaboratively and in the best interests of the GenAIoT community to enable and encourage the widespread adoption of GenAIoT systems and networks. We attract a wide variety of practitioners with deep experience and different perspectives. We seek to be the community with the deepest experience and widest diversity of expertise covering the entire GenAIoT ecosystem and from a variety of different application segments.
